The most valuable asset in a creative business
is you and your story.......

I’m Nicky, a brand photographer who loves to work with female-led businesses. I love that I’m able to use my skills to create relaxed, natural images that tell your story and help you attract your ideal clients.

I discovered photography while on an art foundation course. I quickly realised graphic design wasn’t for me but that I loved photography – it let me be creative and show the world my vision. I then trained in photography at Newcastle College where I had some amazing tutors who helped me find my niche and really shape who I am today.

I worked as a photographer at Bristol University and a visual merchandiser for a big retail brand before setting up my own photography studio in 2001. For the last 20 years I’ve photographed weddings and families, and now specialise in brand photography for female entrepreneurs in Bristol and beyond.

Working on brand shoots is fantastic because it combines my two decades of photography experience – the storytelling of weddings and the emotion of families. My background in visual merchandising is also invaluable in setting up those all-important styled shots.

I live with my husband and two children in the vibrant city of Bristol. I’m fuelled by proper coffee and would love to learn how to create coffee art. I love to run is on a late summer’s evening in that beautiful golden light (I do love a good sunset) or early in the morning to see the sunrise. Pottering around in my garden is one of my favourite past times. I am a keen gardener who’s still finding her feet, and can often be found wandering round a garden centre on a weekend.

I have a huge passion for interior design and can spend hours flicking through interiors magazines and getting lost in the images. My dream is to one day own a beach hut so I can enjoy those amazing sunsets!

I’d love to help you tell your brand story through unforgettable images – please get in touch to find out how we can work together.
